posters (1935–1945), to more recent examples of graphic design. Significant America designers
represented include: Lester Beall, Joseph Binder, Erik Nitsche, and Paul Rand.
European artists active in America in the latter part of their careers such as Herbert Bayer, László
Moholy-Nagy, and Ladislav Sutnar are represented in both periods.
More recent works are by artists including: Charles Spencer Anderson, Art Chantry, Seymour
Chwast, Paul Davis, April Greiman, Gunter Rambow, and Wolfgang Weingart.
Important African-American artists represented include: John Biggers, Palmer Hayden, Jacob
Lawrence, and William H. Johnson.
