If the most effective way to reach the greatest number of viewers was through print media, and especially cheaply produced periodicals, it is little wonder that so many works by the Cologne Progressives were reproduced in their journal a bis z (Cologne, 1929–1933; Heinrich Hoerle, Walter Stern, Franz W. Seiwert, eds.). In this newsletter, we present a selection of paintings, drawings, and prints in the collection, together with their reproductions in a bis z (indicated within red frames).
