We recently acquired the published book, pictured above, a landmark in Soviet children’s literature. The cover is designed by Mikhail Razulevich (Russian, 1904–1993). Over thirty years ago, Merrill acquired the original maquette and proof for this book cover, both pictured below, which are now united with its final printed iteration. We are delighted to share this serendipitous reunion with you.
