Return of Emory Douglas Loan to The Museum of Modern Art, New York

We recently received the return of an artwork we had loaned to The Museum of Modern Art, New York. The maquette, No More Riots Two’s and Three’s, was designed in 1970 by Emory Douglas (American, born 1943) for a poster for The Black Panther Party. Its presentation in the museum’s permanent collection galleries (1940s–1970s): Gallery 415: Divided States of America, along with a selection of The Black Panther newspapers, marked the museum’s first installation of Douglas’s work—see photos below.
