Since March, when we announced our in-house publication John Heartfield: Printed Matter in the Merrill C. Berman Collection, we have had the good fortune to re-acquire the retouched photograph (above)—a work formerly in the collection—and three additional posters shown below. We also acquired forty-three issues of Arbeiter-Illustrierte Zeitung (AIZ; Workers’ Illustrated Newspaper), dating between 1934 and 1936.
