Outgoing Loans from the Merrill C. Berman Collection

Above and below: Preparing for a shipment of almost fifty posters to
the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia for the December opening of
Disrupting Design: Modern Posters, 1900–1940

Lending works from the collection has long been key to our mission. It is a form of educational outreach that allows us to share the collection with institutions and audiences in the United States and abroad.

Loans from the collection can currently be viewed in Caitlin Condell and
Emily Orr’s Underground Modernist: E. McKnight Kauffer at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, New York (April 10, 2022) and Andrea Nelson and Mia Fineman’s The New Woman Behind the Camera, National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. (January 30, 2022). In the near future, we will be lending to Monica Obniski’s Disrupting Design: Modern Posters, 1900–1940 at the
High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia (December 10, 2021–April 24, 2022), and to Angela Lampe and Florian Ebner’s August Sander et la Nouvelle Objectivité
at the Centre Pompidou, Paris (May 11–September 5, 2022).
