Irma Formánková (1895–1969) and Jiřina Zavřelová (later Kadainková; 1905–?) were Czech race car drivers, who, in partnership, participated in numerous competitions in Czechoslovakia and across Europe in the 1930s. These small-scale photos—one of which (above) bears the stamp “Za Volantem [behind the wheel], Praha 1, Hybernska 5” on its verso—may have been taken for reproduction in a (yet-to-be-identified) book or journal.
